Nick Sotis Scholarship
The Prior Lake Players sponsor the annual Nick Sotis Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is worth up to $1,000 and is awarded to a high school senior who demonstrates a strong theatrical background.
2011 recipients: Justine Asleson and Michael Dunning
Justine has been involved in many Prior Lake Players productions, including "The Wizard of Oz," "The Sound of Music" and "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." She is also a member of the National Ski Patrol and the National Honor Society. Justine plans to attend the College of St. Benedict and major in biology or biochemistry before attending medical school.
Michael first appeared on stage with the Prior Lake Players in "L'il Abner" in 2002. Since then, he has been involved in many shows, both on stage and behind-the-scenes. Michael is also an Eagle Scout and participated in Boys' State. Michael plans to attend the University of Minnesota and major in biology. He hopes to become an emergency room physician.
