If you love getting on stage, or if it’s something that’s always been on your bucket list, audition early and often.

Most adults who get on stage have an absolute blast. Community theatre is a supportive environment, so it’s a great place for people new to theatre and a good way for established actors to keep up their auditioning chops.

Auditions for our spring 2024 production, Bye Bye Birdie will be held on January 29th and 30th from 6:00-8:30 pm and no appointments will be necessary! Callbacks, if needed, will be held on February 1st.

Performances will take place April 12-14 and 19-21. Please note that due to an unexpected conflict, these dates are different than those that were initially publicized. Rehearsals will begin the week of February 12th and will take place on M-Th evenings, with some Friday rehearsals as needed. Not all actors will need to attend all rehearsals.

Ages 6th grade and up are welcome to audition. Although there aren’t named roles for pre-teen actors in this production, family units with children younger than 6th grade may be considered for ensemble opportunities!

All auditioners should prepare 16-32 measures of a song from the show and be ready to read sides from the script. Printed sides will be available on-site, and auditioners do not need to bring their own sheet music unless helpful for their own reference.

Auditions will be held at Twin Oaks Middle School (15860 Fish Point Rd, Prior Lake, MN 55372)
