If you love getting on stage, or if it’s something that’s always been on your bucket list, audition early and often.
Most adults who get on stage have an absolute blast. Community theatre is a supportive environment, so it’s a great place for people new to theatre and a good way for established actors to keep up their auditioning chops.
Prior Lake Players is producing Much Ado About Nothing and Free to Be…. You and Me for our 2026-2027 season! Much Ado Auditions are August 31 and September 1 at Twin Oaks Middle School, Prior Lake MN.
Age Range: 18 plus
Materials Needed: Please prepare a 45-60 second Shakespearian Soliloquy of your choosing. Memorization preferred.
Callbacks: If selected, callbacks will be held on Thursday 09/03/2026 and materials will be emailed to you.

“Thank you for your interest in Prior Lake Players production of Much Ado About Nothing. A quick note on the stylization of this production as you prepare for your audition. The setting will be contemporary with heavy influence from Reality Television Docu Dramas. Think Keeping up With the Kardashians, Real Housewives, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives etc. This will be a very campy, heavily dramatized, comedic production so bring your best dramatic over the top selves.
